This Privacy Policy applies to the mobile applications published under the Google Play developer account Northfield Apps, including Settle It! Spin, Finger & Dice and any other app we publish under that developer name (each, an “App”, together the “Apps”). Northfield Apps is operated by Ambigene Studios (“we”, “us”, or “our”). This Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and safeguard information when you download, install, or use an App.
By using an App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide to us
If you contact us for support or otherwise communicate with us, we collect the information you choose to share — such as your email address and the contents of your message.
Information collected automatically
When you use an App, we and our service providers automatically collect certain technical information, including your device type and operating system, unique device or advertising identifiers, app version, IP address, general location (derived from IP address), and information about how you interact with the App. This is collected using the analytics and advertising services described below.
Device permissions
An App may request device permissions (for example, storage, vibration, or notifications) that are necessary for specific features to function. We request only the permissions an App genuinely needs, and you can review or revoke these at any time in your device settings. Disabling a permission may limit certain features.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide, operate, maintain, and improve our Apps;
- To respond to your enquiries and provide support;
- To understand how our Apps are used and to develop new features;
- To display and measure advertising;
- To detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or abuse; and
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
3. Advertising and Analytics
Our Apps use Google AdMob to display advertising and Google Analytics for Firebase to understand app usage. These services may collect and process device and advertising identifiers, IP address, and usage data to deliver and measure ads and analytics, and are governed by Google’s Privacy Policy. Where required, we request your consent before using non-essential advertising identifiers, and you can opt out or reset your advertising identifier through your device settings, or use Google’s Ad Settings.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers: with vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as Google (AdMob, Firebase Analytics), hosting, and customer support, under obligations of confidentiality;
- Legal reasons: where required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Northfield Apps, Ambigene Studios, our users, or others;
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
5. Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy, to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
6. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, where data protection laws may differ. Where we transfer information internationally, we take steps to ensure it is protected in accordance with this Policy and applicable law.
8. Children’s Privacy
Our Apps are not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Any App we designate as family- or child-directed will handle data in accordance with applicable requirements, including Google Play’s Families policies and the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) where relevant. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict its use, to object to processing, and to data portability. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, and opt out of certain advertising. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.
10. Third-Party Links and Services
Our Apps may link to or integrate with third-party services (for example, the app store you downloaded from) that we do not control. This Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above, and where changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice. Your continued use of an App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
12. Contact Us
If you have any questions or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or your personal information, please contact us at hello@ambigenestudios.com.
